Comparison of farming systems. Are integrated production and organic farming economic alternatives to conventional farming?



FAT Berichte, Switzerland ( 498): 13 pp.



Data for 1994 and 1995 from Swiss book-keeping farms are used to make detailed comparisons of yields, labour, input and energy requirements, gross margins and earnings per farm and per worker as well as ecological aspects of similar farms using traditional, integrated production (IP) and organic farming systems.
