Crop residues for feeding animals in Asia: technology development and adoption in crop/livestock systems

Crop residues for feeding animals in Asia: technology development and adoption in crop/livestock systems

Crop residues in sustainable mixed crop/livestock farming systems: 241-267

The importance of crop residues for feeding animals in Asia is reviewed. Crop residues are the main source of feed in crop/livestock production systems. Priority for use, availability of cereal straws, and opportunity for more intensive utilization of crop residues as feeds are discussed.
