Berry development followed a double sigmoid growth curve with 3 phases - phase I from 0-30, phase II from 30-59 and phase III from 59-101 days after full bloom, respectively. TSS content increased rapidly in phase III, while titratable acidity slowly increased to the end of phase II then decreased sharply at the beginning of ripening. Seed protein and fat contents were initially high, but decreased towards the end of phase I then increased during phase II.
