Economic impacts of instituting a wool target price program

AFPC Working Paper ( 95-14): 36 pp.
Economic impacts of instituting a wool target price program
In 1993 the US Congress enacted legislation that phased out the wool incentive payment programme with 1995 production; wool growers will have no price and support programmes on wool shown in 1996 and beyond. This paper projects the impacts of two scenarios (no wool programme and the implementation of a target price programme over the period 1996-2000) at both the regional level and for representative farms in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Wyoming.
