Economic perspectives of extensive livestock production in disadvantaged areas prior to market liberalization

Revista Espanola de Economia Agraria ( 174): 165-191

The article discusses changes in aid to livestock producers in Spain, especially in the most disadvantaged areas, which account for 80% of the Spanish industry. The main changes are increased competition and market deregulation. The first affects the Spanish industry through the latter's relative lack of competitiveness.
