Economics of bio, organic and inorganic sources of nutrient in rice (Oryza sativa)-wheat (Triticum aestivum) cropping system

Economics of bio, organic and inorganic sources of nutrient in rice (Oryza sativa)-wheat (Triticum aestivum) cropping system

Indian Journal of Agronomy 41(3): 502-504

In a field trial at Bilaspur, Madhya Pradesh in 1987-89, rice IR 36 was grown with 5 t farmyard manure (FYM) or 10 kg cyanobacteria crust/ha in combination with different NPK rates. Wheat Sonalika was grown after rice without further fertilizer application. Net returns for rice were 3081 Rs/ha without fertilizers, 4242 Rs with cyanobacteria alone, 3957 Rs with FYM alone, and highest (7223 Rs) with cyanobacteria + 80 kg N + 50 kg P2O5 + 30 kg K2O.
