Effect of date of sowing and seed treatment on seedling emergence and disease incidence on soybean

Thiram treated and untreated seeds of 2 soyabean varieties were sown on 5 dates with 15 d intervals from 15 June until 15 Aug. in Bangladesh. Seedling emergence varied significantly among different sowing dates, varieties and seed treatments. No definite correlation could be established between seedling emergence and sowing dates. Cultivar PK-472 gave higher seedling emergence than cultivar Bragg.
