In a field trial in summer 1992 at Anand, Gujarat, groundnuts GG 2 were irrigated with 75 mm water at an irrigation water:cumulative pan evaporation (IW:CPE) ratio of 0.5 or with 50 mm water at an IW:CPE ratio of 0.8. The sowing/irrigation methods used were flat bed/border, flat bed/furrow, flat bed/alternate furrow, furrow/furrow, furrow/alternate furrow and skip sowing/furrow irrigation between 2 pairs of rows.
