In a field study during the pre-kharif kharif and post-kharif seasons of 1990-92 at Mohanpur, West Bengal, groundnuts JL-24 were irrigated 15 days after sowing (DAS), 15 + 30 DAS, 15 + 30 + 45 DAS or 15 + 30 + 45 + 60 DAS. Methods used to measure water use were Lorry-Jhonson, Blaney-Criddle, Thornthwaite and pan evaporation.
