In studies on a 4-field rotation (potatoes, barley, winter rye, oats) in Belarus, various forms of P fertilizers were applied, and data are presented on the contents and movements of P in the soil and on the uptake of P by the plants. Weather conditions had a significant effect on the changes in mobile P, the effectiveness of the fertilizers, and the P uptake by barley, the main factors being the distribution of rainfall during the growing season and the temperature regime.
