Effect of levels and methods of potassium application on vegetative growth and yield of potato cv. Kufri Badshah

In a field experiment on a sandy loam soil (containing 6.6 p.p.m. K) in 1990-91 in Uttar Pradesh, potatoes Kufri Badshah were given 50-200 kg K2O/ha. K was applied basally or in 2 or 3 split applications. Tuber yield was highest with the application of 200 kg K2O (25 and 22.4 t/ha, in the respective seasons).
