Effect of meteorological conditions at harvesting on the quantity of whole rice grains

In field trials in Sao Paulo in 1988/89, 3 rice cultivars were sown at 4 dates ranging from early Oct. to early Dec. and grown under irrigation and optimum conditions of management. Grain was sampled at 5-d intervals from 25 to 55 d after full flowering. The percentage of whole grains was affected more by moisture content of grains than by sowing date.
