Effect of nitrogen and phosphorus on seed yield in calendula (Calendula officinalis L.)

In experiments at Kalyani during the winter months of 1987 and 1988, C. officinalis Lemon Queen seedlings were transplanted in early Nov. and were given 0, 10, 20 or 40 g N/msuperscript 2 and 0, 15 or 31 g P2O5/msuperscript 2. All plots received 10 mg K2O/msuperscript 2 and 5 kg FYM/msuperscript 2. Half of the N was applied 10 days after transplanting (DAT) and the remainder was applied in equal doses 40 and 70 DAT.
