Effect of nitrogen and potassium on the growth and yield of garlic
In a field experiment conducted during 1991-92 and 1992-93 at Mandsaur, N was applied at 0, 50, 100 or 150 kg/ha as urea and K at 0, 30, 60 or 90 kg K2O/ha as muriate of potash to a local garlic cultivar. Garlic yield (mean of 2 years) was highest with 100 kg N/ha and 90 kg K2O/ha (97.32 and 96.26 q/ha, respectively). These treatments also gave the highest net profits.
