In field trials in Matanzas, Cuba in 1993, a red ferrallitic soil was given 10-30 t cattle manure/ha, 1-3 t/ha worm compost or 30 kg N, 50 kg P2O5 and 75 kg K2O/ha immediately before sowing N. wightii Tinaroo in late June 1993.
