Effect of organic matter on quantity and quality of roots in carrot (Daucus carota L.) harvested at three dates

, : Effect of organic matter on quantity and quality of roots in carrot (Daucus carota L.) harvested at three dates. Semina Londrina 16(1): 80-85

In field trials in Rio de Janeiro in 1991, carrot Nova Kuroda sown in rows 20 cm apart 90 days after incorporation of organic matter (plant residues) at rates of 0, 4, 8 or 16 kg/msuperscript 2 were given NPK as implicated by soil analysis with further N applied at thinning 15 and 30 days after sowing.
