The effects of N (100, 200 or 400 g plant-1 year-1), P (100, 200 or 300 g P2O5 plant-1 year-1) and K (200, 400 or 600 g K2O plant-1 year-1) fertilizer application on growth, yield and fruit quality of papaya Ranchi were determined during 1988-90. Plant height and girth were positively affected by N, P and K. A positive and significant correlation was observed between plant height and girth at flowering and yield/plant. High rates of N and K advanced flowering while a high rate of P delayed it.
