A prototype, low cost, small-dimension, light tunnel sprayer with a new concept air-jet discharge system was developed. The air outlets were directed 40 degrees upwards, aiming for the top of the tree canopy. Spray distribution within the tree canopy for the prototype tunnel sprayer was compared with that for the commercial cross-flow tunnel sprayer (JOCO) and standard directed air-jet sprayer (SEPIA).
