Estimates of genetic parameters for yield and component traits in intervarietal crosses of wheat

Estimates of gene effects for grain yield and its components (number of tillers/ plant, number of grains/spike and 1000-grain weight) were determined for crosses of bread wheat cultivar WL 711 with VL 421 and PBW 65. Non-additive (dominance and epistasis) was the predominant type of gene actions for all the traits in both the crosses.
