Estimates of genetic parameters in control-pollinated progenies of plus trees of Pinus densiflora S. et Z

The North Carolina II mating design was used to obtain full-sib families of Pinus densiflora for progeny testing (in Korea Republic). Controlled pollination (for 20 crosses) was carried out in a 10-yr-old seed orchard in Anmyon in spring 1987. Seeds were sown in a nursery in 1989; 2-yr-old seedlings were established in a field test in 1990. At age 5 years, seedling height and root collar diameter (RCD) were measured. Significant differences among combinations were observed for both parameters.
