Evaluation of 16 gliricidia provenances in dryland farming area in Bali

An alley cropping experiment was carried out for 32 weeks to study the growth of 16 accessions of Gliricidia sepium, 6 from Mexico, 4 from Guatemala and one each from Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Nicaragua and Indonesia from localities with altitudes ranging from 0 to 1100 m and rainfall ranging from 650 to 3500 mm. It was carried out on a calcareous, red-brown mediterranean soil, at 50 m elevation.
