Evaluation of implementation of central sector scheme on promotion of agriculture mechanization through small tractors

With a view to promoting agricultural mechanization amongst small farmers the Government of India implemented the central sector scheme on promotion of agriculture mechanization in the year 1992/93. The main aim of this scheme was to raise the capability level of a worker to do more work rather than replacement of the human and animal component.
