Evaluation of mulberry varieties through silkworm rearing under tropical condition

Uttar Pradesh Journal of Zoology 15(2): 97-99

The performance of seven recommended varieties of CSR and TI, Berhampore, W. Bengal - S-1, S-799, S-1635, C-1730, C-763 and C-776 along with Kajli (Local variety) were evaluated through a feeding experiment which was conducted with popular multivoltine silkworm hybrid N times G as testing material during February-March season. Experimental results revealed that nutritive quality of C-763, was found superior to that of other varieties followed by S-1630 and C-1730.
