Factors affecting the expression of durable resistance of rice cultivars to blast caused by Pyricularia grisea Sacc. 1. Selection of durably resistant cultivars for rice blast

Factors affecting the expression of durable resistance of rice cultivars to blast caused by Pyricularia grisea Sacc. 1. Selection of durably resistant cultivars for rice blast

Korean Journal of Plant Pathology 12(2): 231-236

An experiment was conducted from 1985 to 1994 in order to develop a rapid selection method of durably resistant cultivars of rice to blast. Resistant cultivars were selected based on results of greenhouse tests and field observations. Durable resistance of the selected cultivars was evaluated by responses of rice to the rice blast pathogen, P. grisea cultivation areas and cropping period.
