Factors influencing culture of anthers of photosensitive genic male-sterile rice

Factors influencing culture of anthers of photosensitive genic male-sterile rice

Journal of Huazhong Agricultural University 14(5): 415-420

Anthers from 14 photo- or thermo-sensitive genetically male sterile (MS) lines of rice were cultured on N6, HE5, Tongyong and modified B5 media supplemented with various growth regulators. Efficiency of tissue culture varied significantly according to genotype, culture medium, sucrose concentration, ratios of phytohormones and photoperiod.
