Forage yield and silage quality from maize (Zea mays) and sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) hybrids

In field trials in 1992/93 in Rio Grande do Sul, 5 commercial maize cultivars and 3 sorghum cultivars were sown in early Dec. at densities of 50 000 plants and 160 000 plants/ha, respectively and were cut to a height of 15 cm when they reached the floury grain and doughy grain stage, respectively.
