Genetic variability for disease resistance in Brazilian upland rice native germplasm

Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira 31(6): 413-424

Results are reported from an evaluation of 39 accessions under dryland field conditions at 13 sites over 3 years for resistance to brown spot (Drechslera oryzae (Cochliobolus miyabeanus)), leaf and neck blast (Pyricularia grisea), leaf scald (Microdochium oryzae), narrow brown leaf spot (Cercospora janseana) and grain discoloration (caused by various fungal pathogens). The landraces Arroz de Guerra, Iguape Redondo, Chatao and Cateto showed partial resistance to leaf blast.
