The first 5 years' results are presented of a rootstock trial at Kecskemet in Hungary on sour cherry cultivars to study the effect of different Prunus mahaleb rootstocks. Sour cherry cultivars were most vigorous on rootstock C 2753 and least vigorous on Egervar. Erdi botermo was most productive on rootstock SM 11/4 and least productive on Magyar.
