Growth of maize in competition with Chenopodium album L. and Datura stramonium L

Maize biomass evolution with and without weed competition from C. album (1:1 density in relation to maize) and D. stramonium (1:2) was tested in 2 irrigated fields in Spain. A logistic curve is given expressing maize biomass Y (g/msuperscript 2) as a function of degree days since maize emergence x ( degrees day) that satisfactorily fitted field data describing the infested and weeded maize biomass evolution. The differences began to be important from 1750 degrees day (male flowering in maize).
