Host-parasite relationships during the germination phase in Orobanche crenata and O. minor

Host-parasite relationships during the germination phase in Orobanche crenata and O. minor

Preslia 68(4): 329-339

A fast laboratory method for testing the germination of Orobanche crenata and O. minor was elaborated by using agar media containing root exudates from host and/or provocative plants (faba beans, maize, lucerne, Trifolium spp. and Linum usitatissimum. Ecophysiological conditions suitable for germination of both Orobanche species were found.
