Identification of Salmonella enteritidis serotype enteritidis in a sample of 95 isolates of Salmonella sp. from field outbreaks in domestic fowls

, : Identification of Salmonella enteritidis serotype enteritidis in a sample of 95 isolates of Salmonella sp. from field outbreaks in domestic fowls. Veterinaria Mexico 27(4): 343-345

95 strains of mobile S. enteritidis strains isolated from domestic fowls were tested biochemically for confirmation of the genus. The biochemical test was followed by serotypification tests (plate and tube agglutination tests) using commercial antiserum. 75 strains (79.0%) were identified as S. enteritidis serotype enteritidis.
