Identification of a cDNA encoding a non-cytosolic NADP-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase

, : Identification of a cDNA encoding a non-cytosolic NADP-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase. Photosynthesis: from light to biosphere Volume V Proceedings of the Xth International Photosynthesis Congress, Montpellier, France, 20-25 August 1995: 391-394

The isolation and characterization of a tobacco cDNA encoding an isocitrate dehydrogenase (ICDH) is reported. When the amino acid sequence was compared with that from other plant species, it showed low sequence identity; even the tobacco isoenzyme ICDH1 showed higher similarity with the other plant ICDHs than with this second tobacco ICDH.
