Identification of an enhancer sequence in a PstI clone of IR36 genomic DNA

, : Identification of an enhancer sequence in a PstI clone of IR36 genomic DNA. Rice Biotechnology Quarterly 25: 29

An 812 bp PstI fragment of rice IR36 genomic DNA was transferred to a plasmid vector for sequencing. Several direct repeats were identified, with 7-bp repeats being the most frequent. There were also 2 inverse repeats flanking a 200 bp sequence with few TATA sequences, CAAT sequences and start codons. The sequence data indicated that there may be 2 promoter loci in the 812 bp clone.
