, : Identification of bean common mosaic virus strains (BCMV), isolated from Phaseolus vulgaris seed in Minas Gerais State. Fitopatologia Brasileira 21(4): 410-413

Strains of bean common mosaic potyvirus (BCMV) were characterized using 165 seed samples of P. vulgaris varieties cultivated in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The plants were observed in the field for up to 20 d after germination. Diagnosis of BCMV was made by inoculating the virus to indicator plants and maintaining the isolates on plants, Campinas, growing in the greenhouse and on seeds.
