, : Identification of iron, folic acid and vitamin B12 deficiencies by clinical nutritional evaluation. Journal of the Canadian Dietetic Association 58(1): 27-33

The ability to detect micronutrients deficiencies by clinical examination was assessed in 79 patients (average age 75 years), most of them being at risk of protein-energy malnutrition (n=66). Clinical signs of iron, folic acid and vitamin B12 deficiencies were noted and related to biochemical criteria of nutritional state.
