Identification of the dominant polypeptide VP60 in Polish isolates of rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus

, : Identification of the dominant polypeptide VP60 in Polish isolates of rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus. Medycyna Weterynaryjna 52(5): 302-305

Two Polish rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus isolates were identified using SDS-PAGE and western immunoblot. Strain MAL was isolated from an outbreak on a farm of 12 000 rabbits with 20% mortality. Strain BLA was isolated from an outbreak in a small holding of 100 rabbits during which all animals died within 5 days. Both outbreaks occurred in 1994. Electrophoresis detected major protein of 60 kDa. The density of virion was 1.31-1.34 g/cmsuperscript 2.
