Identification of tobacco rattle virus on sweet pepper

, : Identification of tobacco rattle virus on sweet pepper. Journal of Hebei Agricultural University 18(4): 32-35

A virus was isolated from Capsicum with ringspot mosaic and yellow mosaic symptoms and identified as a PRSM strain of tobacco rattle tobravirus (TRV-PRSM) based on host range, stability, particle morphology and serology. TRV-PRSM infected 22 plant species of 5 families by sap inoculation. The temp. for virus elimination was 82-85 degrees C, DEP 10-3-10-6 and LIV >35 d. Two different lengths of TRV-PRSM particles, 160-210 nm and 40-80 nm, were observed under EM.
