Identification of yeasts of medical interest

, : Identification of yeasts of medical interest. Revista Argentina de Micologia 19(1): 6-11

A total of 238 yeasts strains were isolated from clinical specimens in Argentina. Candida spp. were recognised as budding and elongated forms which formed pseudomycelia. Other yeasts were identified using commercial kits that measured enzyme activity in presence of cycloheximide and from different sugars.
