Impact of rain on growth and yield of rice under medium land ecosystem of coastal saline zone of West Bengal

Impact of rain on growth and yield of rice under medium land ecosystem of coastal saline zone of West Bengal

Environment and Ecology 14(1): 23-27

Field experiments were conducted in West Bengal during the wet seasons of 1991-92 with 16 tall indica rice cultivars under medium land ecosystem to study the impact of rain on growth and yield. The crop performance was mostly determined by the nature of rainfall distribution and depth and duration of rain water inundation, rather than total rain.
