Inheritance and gene action for yield and some yield components in bread wheat crosses (Triticum aestivum L.) II. A 1000-kernel weight and grain yield per plant

Information on genetic variance is derived from data on grain yield/plant (GY) and 1000-grain weight (GW) in the F1, F2, BC1 and BC2 generations of the crosses 504-18 x Kaloyan, Obrijx x Kaloyan and Slavyanka x Kaloyan. Dominant and overdominant types of inheritance were observed for GW and GY. The dominant components of genetic variation affected GW and GY, while additive components were not significant.
