Inheritance of resistance to white leaf spot in Chinese cabbage
Inheritance of white leaf spot (Cercosporella albo-maculans) resistance in Chinese cabbage seedlings and adult plants was investigated in the F1 hybrids of a 4 x 4 diallel cross. White leaf spot resistance had quantitative inheritance, and was controlled by at least 4 pairs of genes with partial dominance. Both GCA and SCA were important, indicating resistance was controlled by the additive-dominance model. Both broad and narrow sense heritability estimates were high.
