During spring-summer of 1993 in a plot naturally infested with P. capsici, the control effectiveness of an organic amendment (chicken manure), a fungicide (fosetyl-aluminium (as Aliette)), solarization (with transparent and black polyethylene) and their combinations was studied to compare the epidemiological progress of the disease and to determine the economic feasibility of the treatments.
