Integrated management of phytonematodes in Bidi tobacco nursery through soil solarization, rabbing and carbofuran

Rabbing nematode infested nursery areas with bajra (millet) husk @ 7 kg/msuperscript 2 or soil solarization by tarping the beds with LDPE clear plastic film of 400 gauge for two months alone or in combinations of both or combinations of each with carbofuran @ 1.5 kg/ha or all the 3 together were found economical and effective in management of Meloidogyne incognita, M. javanica, Tylenchorhynchus vulgaris and Rotylenchulus reniformis as well as weeds.
