Differences in kinetic uptake parameters that influence potassium (K) uptake were evaluated in 2 cotton cultivars that differed in maturity and root morphology. K uptake from solution was 24% greater for the late maturing cultivar DP90. Relationships between net influx and solution concentration of K was calculated for the 2 cultivars; these relationships could be used to predict net K+ influx at any concentration.
