In pot trials, rice Durado precoce and cassava MA 575 were grown in 2 ferrallitic soils given no amendments or CaO and/or P. The same treatments were applied to soils without plants. For cassava, CaO and P both improved DM production and P uptake on both soils, with a greater effect in combination. DM production and P uptake of rice was not affected by CaO on either soil, and improved with P on one soil.
