, : Maize silage, metabolic status of cows and milk quality. Informatore Agrario 51(43): 33-39

During a 14-month period, 2 groups of 40 cows, homogeneous in lactation stage, productivity and coagulation characteristics of milk and kappa -casein genetic characteristics were given diets based on maize silage or with hay as the only forage. Production and chemical and technological characteristics of milk and the metabolic profile of cows in each group were evaluated every 28 days during a lactation period of 80 to 250 days.
