The 28 hybrids were grown at Rome in 1996. Irrigation was applied only during the period of emergence of the male inflorescence and 15 days after full flowering. Highest grain yields were obtained from Single (12.08 t/ha), with 10 other hybrids giving over 11 t/ha.
