Making dust: new financial horizons for rural co-operatives in the US
Global market forces are spurring a new sense of competitiveness among rural cooperatives in the USA. To deal with the rapidly changing environment cooperatives are becoming much more flexible in their structure, developing new and creative alliances, joint ventures, partnerships and consolidations with other organizations in order to get closer to their customers. Some specific agricultural cooperative examples are cited.
