, : Male nest defense in the digger wasp Cerceris binodis (Hymenoptera: Sphecidae). Journal of Hymenoptera Research 4: 77-79

Male nest defence was studied in an aggregation of 5 nests of Cerceris binodis in Panama on 8 July 1994. Males defended territories that contained nesting females from conspecific males. A female provisioning a nest would mate when she returned to the nest if a male was present.
