Management Information Systems in irrigation
Irrigation water management is complex because of the wide variety of factors such as plant-water relationships, crop-climate and agro-chemical interactions, water rights, runoff water quality, and multi-purpose reservoir operation. For optimal planning information from all these factors must be incorporated into the decision-making process. Recently, management information systems (MIS) have become powerful and versatile as Decision Support Systems.
